On the latest episode of Homegrown, we talked to Brad Trevithick, owner of Goat & Vine here in Temecula. We love eating here, so we wanted to talk to Brad a little bit about his restaurant and how it came to be. You can watch the full conversation above.
Brad was born here in Southern California but lived in Alaska for a number of years. After he decided to come back down here, he and his wife opened up Goat & Vine. The name “Goat & Vine” is actually inspired by one of Aesop’s fables and Brad likes the idea of having a literary theme in the restaurant.
For Brad, food is an essential theme in bringing people together. This is reflected in their seating, with a long counter and community tables filling the space.
Another theme at Goat & Vine is connecting with the history and traditions of food. Being able to connect more with local farmers and make things fresh from scratch is how they believe food should be made and how it should be experienced.

As you can see in the video above, the Jalapeno lime carnitas pizza is just one example of their incredible flavor fusions. A big portion of the menu here is pizza, and they have some of the most delicious and inventive creations that we’ve seen. The ingredients are top-notch and the dough is made from scratch each day. Those are both hallmarks of an excellent pizza.
Goat & Vine is located at 4911 5th St. in Temecula. Their hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
